Norms and titles to be awarded
AMO Galaxias Sports Club and the Greek Chess Federation, under the auspice and rules of the World Chess Federation (FIDE), organize an Arbiters seminar in Thessaloniki, Greece, 29 April – 3 May 2009.
Main lecturer will be IA Panagiotis Nikolopoulos, Chairman of FIDE Arbiters Committee. Each participant will receive a certificated diploma. Fide arbiter norms and titles will be awarded according to FIDE regulations and exams.
The event covers the laws of chess, tournament rules, system of games, tie breaks, the use of electronic clocks, title regulations, and tournament organization.
Grand Hotel Palace- Thessaloniki – Kalipateira Conference Room is the venue.
Hotel prices and bookings have the same conditions as World Amateur and School Championships. The entry fee, includes seminar fee, seminar material, and exams, 120 euro per person (for federations with more that one participant 100 per person). Seminar minimum participants 10 – maximum 40.
Entry forms must be filled from the National Federations or participants and returned
to the Organizing Committee not later than April 26th April 2009.
