GM Branko Damljanovic leading after seven rounds
The 3rd International Chess Festival “Sport Summer 2010″ is taking place from 9th to 16th July in Paraćin, Serbia. The main event is 9-round Swiss tournament with FIDE time control which is valid for FIDE rating and GM/IM norms.
126 players from 18 chess federations are participating, among them are 9 Grandmasters and 18 International Masters. The legendary leader of the Serbian national team, GM Branko Damljanovic, was very convincing in the first seven rounds, having conceded only one draw to GM Bosko Abramovic. Damljanovic is alone on the top of the crosstable with 6.5 points, followed by GM Evgeni Janev of Bulgaria who has six points.
