GM Paco Vallejo leading after round 4, GM Markus Ragger close behind
The Bahía Feliz International chess tournament is taking place from 12th to 21st May at the Hotel Orquidea on Gran Canaria, Spain. Ten players participate in the round robin event supported by Bahía Feliz Invest S.L., the Spanish subsidiary of the Krulich Group.
The sponsor Roman Krulich and tournament director José Luis Fernández García have composed an interesting field, an international mix of young and mature, male and female professionals. They are particularly proud to have secured the participation of the currently best Spanish player, Paco Vallejo, and the great hope of the new generation, the representative of Gran Canaria, WGM Sabrina Vega.
Another great attraction is the Ukrainian Illya Nyzhnyk, who at 14 is the youngest grandmaster in the world. Top Austrian player Markus Ragger will probably be involved in the fight for first place.
