10th Rochefort Chess Tournament

GM Yury Solodovnichenko leading with perfect score

Continuing the fine tradition from earlier editions, the 10th Rochefort Chess Tournament offers very good playing conditions for the professional and amateurs players alike, who in turn leave their heart on the board fighting hard to achieve better results.

This year, 6 GM, 9 IM, 1 WIM and 3 FM are fighting for the top 10 prizes. And they also have to care about the young and local players who are dreaming about earning a titled player’s scalp.

44 players compete in the Open A. After three rounds, only two players were on top with perfect score – GM Yuri Solodovnichenko (UKR, 2577) and IM Vincent Colin (FRA, 2440). In the 4th round Yuri Solodovnichenko continued to dominate the tournament with a swift victory against Vincent Colin.

In Open B (for people rated under 2000), the young (U-16) Arthur Macon (FRA, 1978) and 4 others players are leading (85 players).
