GM Aleksander Delchev takes the sole lead at Balaguer Open

GM Bruzon, IM Corrales, GM Pogorelov, and IM Roeder sharing second

The bronze medalist from the ETCC 2007 GM Aleksander Delchev took the sole lead at the Open Ciutat de Balaguer. After round 4 he has full 4,0/4 points. He defeated Sanclemente, FM Ramon Perez, IM Guliev, and IM Kovacevic.

Delchev is followed by GM Bruzon, IM Corrales, GM Pogorelov, and IM Roeder all with 3,5/4. The round 5 derby will be between the current leader and the member of the Cuban Olympic team GM Bruzon. Other top matches feature IM Roeder - IM Corrales, IM Colovic - GM Pogorelov, GM Balkan - IM Van Riemsdijk, Swapnil - GM Burmakin, FM Bruned - GM Mirzoev. The top woman of the competition WFM Keti Tsatsalashvili (3,0/4) will meet IM Bhat.
