Timman and Carlsson
GM Tiger Hillarp Persson - GM Erwin l'Ami 1 - 0
GM Emanuel Berg - GM Parimarjan Negi 1 - 0
IM Emil Hermansson - GM Jonny Hector 0 - 1
IM Pontus Carlsson - GM Jan Timman 0 - 1
GM Ivan Cheparinov - GM Vassilios Kotronias 1 - 0
All of the scores of the 6th round were decisive. The games played today separated the table in two parts - the clear leaders Cheparinov 5.0, Berg 4.5, and Hillarp Persson 4.5, and the lower table players with 3.0 points or less. Today the battle of the generations seemed more equal, even with a slight advantage for the experienced players. Jonny Hector, who loves participating at Sigeman & Co events, pulled out a good win against Emil Hermansson. Jan Timman surely had a good cup of coffee and defeated Pontus Carlsson. Cheparinov and Hillarp Persson continue without a single loss.
